From a 9-second carbon-fiber rebodied Volkswagen Golf. Lexan windows, etc. But it still has A/C.
36psi turbo TSi engine. Built for Saudi royalty who wanted a streetable CF bodied fuckin Volkswagen for some reason. 2500lbs wet weight.
Ludicrous

I don’t understand why this was built but oh my god I want it.

A single exit exhaust would make that 2490lbs.

That’s not an exhaust, this is an exhaust:

that exhaust looks like titanium so would most likely be 2495lbs if it were single exit

“Yeah I want a CF bodied Jaguar XJS with a twin-turbo Buick 3800 engine. Yeah, full interior. No, make the headlights HIDs and all the other lights LED. Yes, underglow. And side pipes. Don’t forget the widebody kthxbai.”

not bad, right? My ideal project would be running 33's, long travel double a arms and a full cage, but look as stock as possible.

My thoughts exactly. Examples of my own insane ideas:
1. Tuned-as-f*** 3rd gen. Prius
2. Create-your-own Focus ST Mini (1.0L EcoBoost, 6-speed manual)
3. ND Miata RF with a 4.0L M3 V8 swap

So like this:
But then 1gen and with larger wheels? Though this one is running a 1UZ-FC which is put as far possible as it can be towards the cabin, so it is kinda mid-engined.

Carbon fibre is difficult to make, difficult to repair, difficult to design properly, but extremely stiff for its weight.
Steel is easy to make, easy to repair, easy to design, but isn’t all that stiff for its weight.
And then you make a car with the stated goal of being lightweight, and all the load-bearing structures are steel, while all the cosmetic items are carbon fibre?
/smh
Also, still 600 lbs heavier than my Peugeot.

I love how stock it looks. People don’t understand the concept of a sleeper, this is it.
